Crockpot Honey Pork & Apples

I literally saw this recipe on Facebook yesterday and instantly knew I was going to LOVE it. Since i desperately needed to go food shopping anyway, it was easy to add a few more items. The bigger pork loins weren’t on sale so I winded up with a smaller one, which turned out to actually be two smaller ones. this worked out because I already had my heart set on making this for dinner. in my mind it already tasted amazing and I should be receiving some serious high fives for this new recipe attempt.

Mom’s No. #1 Kitchen Rule: At ABSOLUTELY NO time is it acceptable to criticize, or say anything derogatory, about my cooking. If you aren’t graciously adoring my culinary skills, you should remain silent and eat all your food with a pleasant, beholden smile on your face. There is ONLY ONE time that constructive criticism will be allowed, or tolerated, without fear of retribution or severe and swift punishment for said offenses. When I, the kitchen aficionado, decide to be venturesome in my kitchen, you are dutifully required to be polite, courteous and mindful of my earnest efforts to provide an enjoyable meal to our table.  WHEN AND IF I should ask your opinion pertaining to this new culinary sensation that I have so selflessly and lovingly presented to you, you may give, and share with me, your straightforward assessment.  If you should find my new recipe deficient, you may make your point clear and short. You may NOT repeat your statement or make it a lengthy discussion.  Yes, if you insult my cooking you had better believe I heard you the first time  and I am trying my best not to jump over the table and smack the sh*t out of you. Also, if I decide that I like my new recipe, and you don’t, suck it up because you WILL have it again and you will be obligated to smile and suffer appreciatively through it or you voluntarily leave, move out and cook for yourself. You will never partake in the glory of my culinary endearments ever again.  Consider yourself warned.

Ok, so I got home from the grocery store and was was past enough time for this meal to cook and be ready for dinner. When I noticed it was actually 2 smaller pieces I decided to go for it. I quickly got everything going and then realized I forgot the honey. Well, I don’t even like honey, so I used syrup instead (why I added it to the recipe). After an hour I can honestly tell you may kitchen smelled incredibly awesome! AND…I was not disappointed!!! To tell the truth, it sure didn’t look great, no appealing colors, just blah looking, but it tasted soooooooooooooooooo good!!

Put some beef broth, some sliced up garlic & some onion and the roast and let it cook all day. later on add some cornstarch to make gravy and WHALAH: great pot roast and gravy!
