Friday Funnies For Opening Day Trout Season

Friday Funnies Opening Day Trout Season

Tomorrow is opening day of trout season here in New Jersey. I have no doubt that those getting their fishing gear together, and ready for tomorrow, are also doing some grumbling. WHY?  It’s seems Mother Nature has seriously ticked off Miss Spring and she has decided to pack her bags and go to Florida where it is actaully warm out. In the meantime, Mr. Frost will be kicking up his heels one more time and giving us some snow. TWO to FOUR inches in my area of New Jersey!!!  GRRRRRRRR!

Crazy Spring Weather

Well, it’s looks like I will be on my own tomorrow. Hoping I get my limit, and that I get it early. If I don’t…means my ego is going to stay out there until I do. HMMM…we’ll see…maybe not.  A hot shower, sweats and some soup will probably change my mind pretty quick given the lovely weather we are going to have. I don’t mind fishing in the rain if it is on the warm side. I have hunted while it is snowing with no problem. But then again, for that scenario, I am also bundled up like a camo Michelin Tire Man and just sitting in a tree watching the winter wonderland before me while munching on chocolate. Completely different kind of day you know??

Good Luck & Have Fun Tomorrow!

Wishing you all the best of luck for all of you heading out for Opening  Day of Trout Season tomorrow! For those of you who are bringing home the dinner, here are some great recipes for trout.

Lol! You are hilarious. I love the recepie area….at least I can use that because we don’t have ‘trout season’ here. Great writing though. The memes are a winner 🙂

    Donna,

Love the Friday Funnies! Great theme! Can’t wait until next week!

My favorite is the “I don’t always say ‘Last Cast….” By the way, I’ve never understood why guys (and gals?) say that, since it’s NEVER their last cast!

As for your weather on opening day of trout season, my dad loved to show a photo of him on the opening day of trout fishing, holding his “pole” (a tree branch), and standing on the water, because the river was frozen solid on top!

I hope you catch your limit, and have a wonderful first day of trout fishing! And keep your sense of humor throughout!

    Tight lines!

Oh Yeah…Last cast…. been through it with the Hubby and then my fishaholic son followed in his footsteps. Nothing makes you look like a great parent as screaming at your kid to get in the damn car now or I’m gonna break that damn pole into pieces!!!! HAHA

This had me chuckling! You did a great job. Ugh on the snow. I remember living in Alaska and fishing. I did not like sitting in a tent freezing my butt off ice fishing! I hope you get your limit quickly. Braver than I !

I don’t know about being brave….I was the only knucklehead that went out! Came home after 5+ hours to the men in my life sitting on the couch WATCHING fishing on TV. I show up looking like a drowned rat!!! oh yeah….and I totally skunked! of course I could add that I didn’t get up when the alarm went off either…
